Documents & Forms
Access important community documents securely from anywhere. Your board curates this library to keep residents informed — it can include meeting minutes, architectural guidelines, budgets, forms, and other resources shared by management.
Finding Documents
Go to Documents in your resident portal. Files are grouped by category — for example:
- Governing Documents (Bylaws, CC&Rs)
- Financials (Budgets, Reports)
- Forms (Architectural Requests, Pet Registration)
- Newsletters
- Community resources (documents without a specific category)
Each category is a collapsible card showing how many documents it contains. Every document shows its title, upload date, and a description if the board provided one.
Viewing and Downloading
Click View / download on any document to preview it in your browser or save it to your device.
In the mobile app, open a document to view the file, save it to your device, or share it with another app when the file is available. If PorchQ shows that a file link is not available or cannot be opened on your device, contact your board or manager so they can confirm the document upload.
Some entries carry a Metadata only badge — these are records without an attached file (for example, a reference to a document kept elsewhere). They have no download button.
Asking Questions About Documents
You don't have to read 80 pages of CC&Rs to find the fence rules. Ask the AI Assistant instead — it searches the documents your board has shared and answers with citations to the exact sections.
Visibility
You only see documents the board has shared with residents. If you cannot find a specific document, contact your community manager — they may need to mark it as resident-visible.
When Documents Appear
There's nothing to refresh or subscribe to: when your board publishes a file for residents, it appears here automatically. If no documents have been shared yet, you'll see "No documents yet."
