Community Management
Manage your residents, member directory, and access permissions from the Residents page.
Resident Directory
The Residents page shows all community members and their roles:
- Members list: All current residents with their name, email, and role
- Pending invites: Invitations that have been sent but not yet accepted
- Invite history: Track who was invited and by whom
Member Roles
PorchQ uses three roles to control access:
| Role | Access Level | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Full access to all features, can manage other members | Board members, property owners |
| Manager | Full access to all features, can manage other members | Property managers, HOA administrators |
| Tenant | Resident portal only | Renters, unit occupants |
Changing a Member's Role
Only owners and managers can change roles:
- Go to Residents
- Find the member in the list
- Click the role dropdown next to their name
- Select the new role
- The change takes effect immediately
Audit Trail
All role changes are logged with who made the change and when. This helps maintain accountability and security.
