Usage & Billing
Usage & Billing is where owners, managers, and billing administrators review the PorchQ balance used to pay for PorchQ services.
Resident assessments and HOA dues are collected through Payments and deposited to the association bank account. That Stripe Connect bank connection is not the PorchQ wallet. See Connect the Association Bank Account.
Open Usage & Billing
On the web: open Usage & Billing from your workspace. The page shows available balance, current usage, add funds, auto-reload, and published rates. Usage history, funding activity, and receipts appear below.
On iPhone and iPad: authorized staff open Account → Usage & Billing. That screen is read-only. See iPhone and iPad below.
Billing administration is a separate permission from viewing hierarchy or community data.
Wallet
Your billing account owns a PorchQ dollar balance. The page can show:
- Available — what can be used for metered services
- Purchased — funds you added
- Promotional — promotional credit, when present
- Reserved — value held for in-progress paid work
The financial ledger is the record of wallet activity. Purchased funds do not expire. Promotional credit is used before purchased funds when both are available.
Add Funds (Web)
On the web, a billing administrator can add funds to the PorchQ balance when the organization is ready to use metered services. There is no required minimum spend and no subscription.
This guide does not list funding amounts. Use the amounts shown in Usage & Billing.
Auto-Reload
Auto-reload is optional. One rule per billing account sets a threshold, a reload amount, and a stored default payment method.
When the available balance crosses the threshold, PorchQ purchases the reload amount. That purchase is not a Stripe subscription and not an App Store subscription.
If a reload fails, free access stays available and paid work is blocked until funds are available. Billing administrators receive a notification. Turning the rule off does not interrupt a purchase that is already in progress.
Usage History and Association Roll-Up
Usage history shows metered activity with the association where the work occurred. Authorized roles can review roll-ups across a portfolio or master association.
Published Rates
Usage & Billing shows the authoritative published rates that are currently active. Historical usage keeps the rate that applied when it occurred.
This guide does not list dollar amounts. See rates in Usage & Billing.
If Paid Services Are Paused
Free PorchQ access remains available. Paid services pause until funds are available. Contact your organization billing administrator. A zero balance does not disable the account or historical data.
iPhone and iPad
On iPhone and iPad, Account → Usage & Billing is view-only. Authorized staff can review balance, usage, published rates, history, and auto-reload status.
The App Store app does not sell PorchQ wallet funds. When paid services are paused, the organization billing administrator manages billing.
Resident Autopay for HOA dues remains a separate, allowed payment flow. It is not the PorchQ wallet.
