Classifieds

Buy and sell with your neighbors. Classifieds works like Giveaways, but with a price — list a bike, some furniture, or anything else, and let neighbors message you to buy it.

Before you start

You'll need a Community Profile, and your board needs to have Classifieds enabled.

Browsing listings​

Go to Community → Classifieds. Each listing shows a photo, the price, the seller's display name, and a status badge:

  • For sale — available
  • Pending — a sale is in progress
  • Sold — no longer available

Posting a listing​

  1. Click Post a listing
  2. Add the item, a price, and a description
  3. Add photos (up to 8)
  4. Click Post listing

Your listing appears as For sale.

Contacting a seller​

On a listing you're interested in, click Message seller. This opens a private conversation with the seller, pre-filled with a question about the item. All the back-and-forth stays in private messages — the seller's email and phone are never exposed.

Managing your own listing​

As a seller, update the status as the sale moves along — Pending while you're arranging it, Sold when it's done — or Remove the listing.

Staying safe​

Buy and sell carefully

PorchQ is not involved in classified transactions and doesn't handle payments for them. Meet in a safe, public spot, inspect items before paying, and use common sense. If a listing or buyer/seller seems fraudulent, use Report so your management team can review it.
