Community Feed
The Community Feed is your neighborhood's discussion board. Post about a power outage, ask if anyone has a recommendation, coordinate a block party, or put out an ask like a babysitter or dog sitter — and reply to each other in the comments.
You'll need a Community Profile, and your board needs to have the Feed enabled for your community.
Reading the feed
Go to Community → Community Feed. Posts are listed with the most recently active at the top. Each post shows the author's display name, the message, and the conversation underneath it.
Posting
- Click New post
- Add a Title and write What's on your mind?
- Click Post
Your post appears in the feed for neighbors to see and reply to.
Replying
Open a post and type in the reply box, then click Reply. The original poster is notified of your reply. Conversations stay attached to the post so everything about one topic stays together.
Managing your own posts
On a post you created you can:
- Close it — when a question is answered or a topic has run its course, closing stops new replies while keeping the conversation visible.
- Remove it — deletes your post and its replies.
Reporting content
See something that doesn't belong — spam, harassment, or anything inappropriate? Click Report on the post. You'll be asked for a reason. Your report goes to your board or manager for review.
To keep the feed healthy, a post reported by several different neighbors is automatically hidden until a manager reviews it. You can only report a given post once.
The feed is public to everyone in your community. For a one-on-one conversation, use a private Message instead.
Notifications
You're notified when someone replies to your post or mentions you. To avoid overload, you are not pinged for every new post in the community — check the feed whenever you like, and adjust what you're notified about in your notification preferences.
